I’m Pooja, the creative force behind Pooja Photography, a luxury portrait studio based in San Ramon, CA, serving clients across the Bay Area—from Walnut Creek, Danville, Livermore, San Ramon, Brentwood, San Jose, Palo Alto and Pleasanton to Oakland and San Francisco. My specialty lies in crafting portraits that feel authentic, timeless, and deeply personal. Whether it’s a professional headshot, a personal branding session, a family or maternity portrait, or a joyful pet photography experience, my goal is to create images that tell your story and celebrate the people—and pets—you love most.

My path to photography started in a surprising place: engineering. With a career rooted in problem-solving and detail, I eventually followed my heart into photography, where those same skills help me design sessions that feel effortless while capturing your best self. I believe portraits are more than just pictures—they are legacy pieces, heirlooms to be treasured on your walls and in albums for generations.

Over the years, I’ve been honored to have my work published in outlets such as Mortgage Banker Magazine and featured on platforms like Bold Journey. I’ve also partnered with local businesses, corporate teams, and organizations to create impactful headshot booths and on-site branding experiences that help companies showcase their people with confidence and pride.

🐾 Community & Giving Back

Beyond the studio, one of my greatest joys is giving back to the community through dog rescue work. Over the years, I’ve partnered with organizations like Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue (GGLRR) to foster, photograph, and advocate for dogs in need of loving homes. Many of my volunteer portraits have helped dogs get adopted faster by showing their true personalities to potential families. Whether it’s capturing a senior Lab’s gentle spirit, photographing puppies to raise adoption awareness, or hosting “Pet Photos with Santa” fundraisers, this work fills my heart and reminds me how powerful images can be in changing lives.
