Corporate headshot activation at Adobe in San Jose

Adobe asked us to make headshots fun. So we didn't make them look like headshots.

An employee headshot booth in San Jose, bold black and white portraits, and a lot less corporate.

Adobe's headshot booth brief was one sentence

Adobe wanted headshots with a little more personality, a little more energy, and a lot less corporate.

If you've ever organized a headshot day for a team, you know the usual result. A soft smile, a gray backdrop, and a photo nobody gets excited about. Adobe wanted the opposite. They wanted something their people would talk about at lunch and still want to post six months later.

[ADD YOUR ONE TRUE MOMENT HERE: what you thought when you heard the brief, or the first thing you saw when someone stepped up to the booth. One or two sentences, in your own words.]

Editorial headshots for employees, not another gray backdrop

Instead of making a better headshot, we changed the question. What if an employee portrait felt like the photos you actually stop for while you're scrolling LinkedIn and Instagram?

That meant bold black and white, real expression, and a pose that looks like a person and not a form to fill out. Nobody had to dress up for it. Nobody had to hold a smile they didn't mean.

Two stations, two ways to say yes

For this corporate headshot activation, we ran two stations side by side for two hours. Each person could choose their own look. One was a polished LinkedIn and Slack headshot, ready for the profile they already use every day. The other was a black and white personality portrait, which is the one most people didn't see coming.

Giving people the choice mattered. It turned the booth from a task on the calendar into something people wanted to line up for.

Why black and white worked so well

Black and white takes away the distractions and leaves the person. Different shirts, different moods, different days, and it still looks like one collection. For a company, that's the quiet advantage. The whole set feels intentional, and every person in it looks like themselves.

What a corporate headshot booth takes from your team

Very little. You invite your people. I bring the lighting, the backdrop, and the guidance, and I keep the line moving so nobody feels rushed or on display. [ADD: your real setup time and how long each person spends at the booth.]

Quick answers

What is an employee headshot booth?

It's a professional portrait setup brought to your workplace or event. Employees step up for a few minutes, I guide them through it, and they leave with portraits they'll actually use.

What is a corporate headshot activation?

It's a headshot session built around an event instead of a studio visit. I set up at your location and run it as part of the day, so people can step in between meetings and walk away with a portrait they'll use.

Can you offer color and black and white at the same event?

Yes. At Adobe we ran two stations, and each person chose between a LinkedIn and Slack headshot or a black and white personality portrait.

Do employees need to prepare?

No. I'm happy to send a short note on what to wear if you'd like to share one with your team, but nobody needs to arrive with a plan.

Can the look match our event or brand?

Yes. Adobe asked for something different, so we built something different. I'll shape the setup around your event and your people.

Do you offer a headshot booth for corporate events in San Jose?

Yes. I work with companies across San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, and the wider Bay Area, and I set up wherever your event is happening.

How do I get a quote?

Send me a few details about your event through the quote form, and I'll come back with a plan for your team.
